Roles and responsibilities

As a Business Analyst at Genpact you need to review and analyze transactions to follow BSA/AML rules.
Check alerts from monitoring systems and law enforcement requests.
Look at customer transactions and KYC details to confirm their activities.
Use different tools to research and verify customer behavior.
Write clear reports on findings.
Decide if a case needs further review and suggest if a report should be filed.
Improve work based on feedback from the quality team.
Keep proper records to show compliance with rules.
Stay updated on KYC, BSA/AML, and OFAC guidelines.
Follow company steps to check, decide, and document alerts.
Analyze and create data files using Oracle.
Validate data for accuracy.
Coordinate with regional teams.
Create dashboards based on customer needs.
Handle customer queries in the monitoring queue.
Work closely with regional teams and clients.
Track all incoming requests from emails or automated systems.
Follow up with teams to resolve requests quickly.
Share weekly updates with customers on completed work.
Find ways to improve and simplify processes.

Qualification

Education:
- Bangalore: Any graduate except Commerce field can apply for this position.
- Gurgaon: Candidate holding BA/ BS / Master’s degree is preferable.
Certification: Certified as an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or similar certification. (Preferred, not mandatory)

Eligibility

Experience: No prior experience is mandatory.

Skills

Mandatory Skills

Strong communication skills, both speaking and writing.
Good at analyzing information and solving problems.
Well-organized and pays attention to details.
Able to adapt to fast-changing work environments.
Familiar with G Suite, Excel, and Word.
Understanding of rules and laws like BSA, OFAC, and FinCEN.
Experience in handling AML and fraud investigations.
Knowledge of customer due diligence and filing SAR reports.

Preferred Skills

Strong understanding of Transaction Monitoring, KYC, Screening, and Fraud operations.
Knowledge of verifying documents and non-documentary details as per policy.
Ability to check business nature, source of wealth/funds, and screen customers against sanctions, PEP, and adverse media lists.
Skilled in investigating compliance alerts using vendors and open sources.
Able to research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies independently.
Experience in reviewing Adverse/Negative Media and monitoring transactions.
Strong analytical and investigative skills to handle complex situations.
Comfortable working in fast-paced and uncertain environments.
Knowledge of risk case management tools like Actimize is a plus.
Experience in reviewing transactions to check fund sources and usage.
Familiar with financial crime risk management in brokerage and virtual currency exchanges.
