Roles and responsibilities
- Engage in minimal customer interactions under supervision, ensuring clarity and efficiency in communication.
- Develop a clear understanding of domain processes, sub-processes, functions, and terminologies such as SOPs and QC checklists.
- For Pharmacovigilance (PV) or Complaints Management roles, accurately enter data from source documents into the Clinical/Safety database while adhering to turnaround time (TAT) and maintaining high accuracy.
- Handle sensitive or critical transactions with precision and responsibility.
- Perform coding activities for assigned projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks like importing uncoded terms into databases and exporting coded terms from platforms.
- Manage queries effectively and create prioritized “New Term Requests” when required.
- Execute dictionary version updates as needed for coding accuracy.
- Carry out database migrations, setup, and closeout activities during Study Conduct phases under supervision, ensuring quality checks by the Team Lead.
- Conduct peer quality checks (QC) for TJDA activities to maintain accuracy.
- Generate study-related reports, provide status updates, and handle all email communications and coordination with internal teams and clients.
- Address and process complex problems within procedures or processes, escalating rare issues to the Supervisor or Line Manager when necessary.
- Perform initial-level transaction processing, adhering to quality requirements and achieving targets within designated timelines.
- Proactively identify potential issues, contribute to process improvements, and report changes in procedures when applicable.
- Follow mandatory regulations and compliance standards for the specific process or project.
- Update and refine process documentation as guided to maintain accuracy and relevance.
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities to ensure smooth workflows.
- Meet organizational compliance standards, including timely submission of personal utilization and timesheets, active participation in team initiatives, and maintaining attendance records.
- Support team performance by collating metrics, managing break schedules, and coordinating transport logistics in the absence of the supervisor.
Required qualification
- Education: A degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate) in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Nursing, or Pharmacy.
- Experience: No prior experience is required, while having a similar experience is a plus.
Required Skills
- Ability to accurately enter safety case data into clinical/safety databases within specified timelines.
- Proficiency in conducting quality checks to ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Strong skills in managing and processing adverse event reports, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and guidelines.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure data completeness.
- Familiarity with coding dictionaries like MedDRA and WHO-DD for accurate case documentation.
