The program was firstly launched in 2011, which intended allowing young people to work in villages, helping in solving real-world problems. Young people or ‘fellows’ collaborate with NGOs to improve education, health, women’s empowerment, and livelihoods.

About SBI Youth for India Fellowship
The SBI Youth for India Fellowship had started on 1st of March in year 2011, by State Bank of India. The fellowship cum internship allows graduate fellows to collaborate with NGOs and get to work for a social cause.
Who Can Apply?
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree before October 1, 2025.
- Open to Indians, Nepalese, Bhutanese, and OCI holders.
- Age should be between 21 and 32 years (born between August 5, 1993 – October 6, 2004).
What Will You Do?
- Work closely with NGOs on rural projects.
- Help communities solve problems in health, education, and employment.
- Gather data to measure the impact of these projects.
- Organize workshops to teach new skills and promote self-reliance.

Selection process of SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2025
As per the official notice, the selection process of the Fellowship has two stages:
Stage 1: Registration & Online Assessment
- Fill out the registration form to apply.
- Complete an online assessment. Assessment will be essay-based response.
- Share your story, motivation, and reasons for joining the fellowship.
Stage 2: Personal Interview
- Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by a panel.
- The interview assesses your personality, mindset, and suitability for the role.
- Note: Not just academic scores, but your overall approach is considered.
- Selected candidates will be notified via email or SMS.
- On acceptance, candidates receive an offer letter with program details.
Important detail: Once the candidate accept the offer letter, onboarding process begins, and fellows can engage in an online forum for further guidance.
When is the Last date to apply?
There is no official notice on the ending date for the application process. Last year, in 2024, the last date was October 15, 2024.
