System engineers role is for candidates who have knowledge and expertise in designing, managing and maintaining complex systems. As System engineer, one is responsible to understand about hardware, software and networks of a system ensuring every part works well.
As a system engineer at Honeywell International Inc., candidate will be responsible for Upgradation of PLC and DCS, migration, rip and replace projects for Honeywell installed base. Prepare and maintain all types of engineering documentation for the projects.
Desired candidate for this role may have knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle. They should be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as under supervision. They should be a quick-learner and adaptable to the environment.

Roles and responsibilities
- Create accurate and detailed BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Prepare essential documents like FAT documentation, HDM/SDM/FDS, and other engineering files.
- Interpret and design systems based on inputs such as IO index, P&ID, C&E matrix, and HAZOP studies.
- Work on DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems, including hardware, engineering, and architecture.
- Coordinate with the factory for panel manufacturing and ensure timely completion.
- Manage pre-FAT and FAT testing, demonstrate results to customers, and obtain sign-offs.
- Standardize engineering processes and ensure quality checks for all deliverables.
- Communicate with customers and consultants for project updates.
- Collaborate with project managers to meet revenue, billing, and cash collection targets.
- Execute projects alongside installation and commissioning teams.
- Close site activities following Honeywell (HON) processes.
- Handle vendor selection, PR-PO processes, and follow-ups to ensure timely deliveries.
- Prepare contractor Scope of Work (SOW) documents.
- Follow ISO, HSE, and internal processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Secure change orders or service orders for tasks outside the initial scope.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Candidate should have completed their graduation in Instrumentation or Instrumentation Control.
- Experience: Their is no experience required for this role, but having Offshore platform experience is beneficial.
Required Skills
- Possess a working knowledge of tools and concepts relevant to the role.
- Should be able to manage multiple complex tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
- Basic understanding of data structures to solve problems analytically.
- Should be adaptive to changes while maintaining productivity.
- A self-driven and motivated person who can complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Good at doing analysis, and able to apply new information effectively.
- Having knowledge of Honeywell systems like TPS/TDC3000 and EPKS C200/C300 is an advantage.
Travel Requirements
- Candidate must be willing to travel 30%-40% of the time, including offshore travel whenever required.
Technical Skills / Understanding of Platform
- PLC/SCADA Systems: Siemens, Rockwell AB, Schneider, GE-Fanuc, and Honeywell systems.
- DCS Systems: okogawa, Emerson, ABB, Rockwell, GE, and Honeywell.
- Windows Platforms: Windows platforms, including WIN 2003 Server, WIN 2008 Server, WIN XP, and WIN 7.
- Applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Projects, and SAP.
- Knowledge of Safety System.
