Roles and responsibilities

• Execute predefined test cases on software applications to identify bugs or issues.
• Record test results and document any deviations between expected and actual behavior.
• Identify and report software bugs with detailed, clear documentation to facilitate resolution.
• Work closely with developers to clarify and prioritize issues for timely fixes.
• Assist in creating and maintaining test-related documents, including test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Perform manual testing based on user stories, requirements, and test cases to validate software functionality.
• Conduct smoke testing to ensure key functionalities are working before proceeding with comprehensive testing.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that scripted test cases may not identify.

Required Skills

• Attention to Detail: Skilled at spotting errors or inconsistencies in software functionality.
• Analytical Thinking: Proficient in identifying patterns and pinpointing problem areas in software performance.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for effectively documenting and discussing issues with the team.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of software development and databases; familiarity with test automation tools is an advantage.
• Adaptability: Open to learning new tools and adjusting to changing project requirements.
