Roles and responsibilities
- Help move data and pipelines to Google Cloud Platform.
- Ensure data is stored correctly and consistently.
- Create and update scripts and pipelines for data used in analytics.
- Add quality checks to the systems you build.
- Set up reliable systems to keep services running all the time without manual help.
- Write clear and well-structured code with other developers.
- Help design and build ETL pipelines for complex data.
- Manage your time, prioritize tasks, and adjust to Agile methods.
- Develop best practices for a data system that supports machine learning and AI.
- Work with data scientists and analysts to meet their data needs.
Required qualifications
- For Analyst-Data Engineer (Gurugram):
- Education: Graduation in Technology or related field.
- Experience: No prior experience is mandatory.
- For Data Engineer II (Bengaluru):
- Education: Graduation in Computer Science or related field. Having a master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience working as a Software developer.
Required Skills
- For Analyst-Data Engineer (Gurugram):
- Understand common data structures for storage and online data analysis.
- Be skilled in Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud services.
- Be proficient in a querying language like SQL or similar.
- Have a strong understanding of computer science basics and applied principles.
- Have experience using version control systems like GIT for managing work and code releases.
- Be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people.
- Be able to explain and justify design decisions and assumptions.
- For Data Engineer II (Bengaluru):
- Understand Agile or other fast-paced development methods.
- Have experience with designing and developing in one or more database management systems (e.g., IMS, DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Netezza).
- Be familiar with application and database design, development, and automated testing methods.
- Understand big data technology and NoSQL design with various data stores (e.g., document, column family, graph).
- Have general knowledge of distributed systems, algorithms, and both relational and non-relational databases.
- Be familiar with NoSQL design and coding using different types of data stores.
- Be aware of cloud-native database technologies like BigQuery.
